I have my graduate degree in counseling and I'm a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
I have 10 years of education and research in the fields of psychology, counseling + career counseling.
For the past 5 years, I've been working with young adults in a college setting. I utilize a positive, strength based approach to empower them to focus on themselves: their self-care, well-being and happiness.
A few years ago, I started writing articles based on my experiences guiding others toward authenticity and well-being while also building a life in alignment with my own passions and purpose. In time, I expanded my writing reach to sites like the Huffington Post and Thought Catalog.
And now? Well, now I am at a place where I want to offer more. Because creating new dreams and chasing them creates so much purpose in my life.
So, I have created a blog here to compile all of my writing on a mindful lifestyle and on how to manifest a happy + full + authentic journey. I have created workbooks for purchase to help guide you through the process. I also provide mental health and wellness content as a freelance writer for websites or organizations in need of a consistent blog.
Finally, as a Registered Yoga Teacher, I teach classes in my community-- combining physical yoga postures with my knowledge of yoga philosophy and years of counseling experience.
Some other stuff about me:
- I have always had a passion for psychology, for helping people and for thinking about social change. I've published academic research on positive psychology and on the myths and truths of living a long and healthy life.
- I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) and love the study of yoga philosophy as it supports mental and physical health.
- I am a new mom to a baby boy who constantly reminds me to slow down and embrace each and every moment.
